When my friend first told me that she was interviewing Sam Raimi at a press junket here in New York City, to promote “A Simple Plan”, my immediate response was “ I’m going with you..!” I had accompanied her to other press junkets in the past, and you could bet your last dollar that I was going to this one. As interested as I was in “Simple”, I just wanted to know one thing and hear it from the man himself, “Will you make another Evil Dead film…?” My friend agreed to ask for me during the round table interview, for I was just an observer there, not legitimate press, sitting off to the side. As a matter of fact, she asked several of the questions I had submitted to her, but not all of them. This was after all a junket to promote “Simple Plan”, not an Evil Dead, fanboy jamboree. The other reporters there couldn’t care less about the Evil Dead films. Excluding my friend, all but one of the other reporters, had not seen any of the Evil Dead films. Into the pit with them!

I wasn’t able to attend the junkets for “Love of the Game” and “The Gift” (grrrrrrrrr...) but I did have my friend ask about Evil Dead sequels again. Check out the audio clips on the right and post your comments back at my post at www.deadites.net.
